Drag and drop interaction in Articulate Storyline 360 - ID Card Make Hi guys welcome back to PowerPoint glamor in this video today let's learn how to create a drag and drop interaction in article storyline so please stay tuned.

Drag and drop interaction in Articulate Storyline 360

So if you see this slide I've created one and a half inserted a few images of some fruits and some veggies and here if you can see on the right there are two baskets which have been.

Labeled as fruits and veggies so the interaction would be to create a drag and drop activity in which the learner can actually drag these images and drop it in the respective baskets of.

Fruits and vegetables so let's see how do we create this in storyline so after you have finished inserting and putting all the images together First Step that you need to do is to.

Rename these images accordingly so if you see when you click on this image I have renamed it as mango and then if I click this it has been renamed as banana and so on and so forth it's important to.

Actually rename this baskets as well for example this is a fruit basket if you can see here it has been renamed and this has been renamed as the wedge basket.

So we'll come to know how do we actually get a benefit out of this in a moment so after we have created this image we have renamed the images accordingly now the next step would be to convert this.

Slide to a free form drag and drop interaction so how do we do that Guru insert then you will have an option.

Called convert to freeform so click on that then once you click on it you have this option of drag and drop click on drag and drop and then click ok.

As soon as you do okay you will have this slide converted to a drag and drop slide and as soon as it opens it will take you to the form View.

On the right you will see the two views available this is the form View and when you click on this this is the slide view that is available in the slide view you can also see a couple of layers which.

Have been added first one is the correct layer which gives you the message when the learner does the correct options correct response rather and then this incorrect.

Layer is popped up when there is an - ID Card Make

Incorrect response from the learner okay so when you go back to the form View you will select the images because we can see.

So this is the drag items and this is the drop Target okay so they have to drag these images and put it on this respective drop targets so let's go back to the form.

View now select the first item for example we'll select the mango so mango needs to be dragged and dropped into the fruit basket that will be the.

Drop Target you can also see that it selects the appropriate image when you when you are using it here so next item would be banana and then you'll see this has been.

Selected here as well it has to be dropped in the fruit basket then the next item let's select arrows it has to be dropped in the wedge basket.

Then going down then we have leafy which is this item this is a vegetable so it has to be dropped in the veg basket then we have carrot so it needs to be.

Obtain the wedge basket again so you can see the wedge basket is selected here then we have one more item left we'll select watermelon and this is a drag item and the drop Target would be.

The fruit basket right so these are the destinations so we'll just check again watermelon to the fruit basket carrot to the wedge leave it at the veg but it is the veg banana.

To the fruit and mango so these are the correct responses that we have selected so you have selected the images and the drop type the drag items and the drop targets so and you can see here this is.

    The feedback

Okay so this is the feedback when the learner selects these responses when drags and drops these items correctly into the targets and when he submits the.

Slide he or she will get this message when this is correct or he or she will get this message when it is incorrect and when you go up here in this ribbon you have an option to give them attempts.

Of how many attempts you can give to learner until and unless he actually select this is the correct option so if you cannot change the attempt to three.

You will see there's one more at a layer that has been added which says that is incorrect please try again so when see when she clicks okay again it'll go back and give him or her another option so.

That's the beauty of articulate storyline so once you're finished setting up the drag and the drag items in the drop targets and then you have selected the attempts.

That you want then you can go back to the slide View and let's have a look by going to preview and select this slide.

Okay so when you say preview the preview opens in a moment let's wait till the preview opens okay now let's drag and drop the items so let's drag this mango and put it in.

Fruits then drag this and put it here in this basket and this should be in veggies this should be in veggies.

Let's make an incorrect uh drag so let's take this potato and put it in fruits and just put it here and then we'll submit the response we'll see what happens so it says that's incorrect.

Please try again so let's go back and say try again so we'll drag this out put this back into fruits and then take this and drag it here into edges now let's submit.

Okay now it says it's correct you have select the correct response and then you say continue so that's it so the preview shows that the slide is working and now as you know.

This is how you actually create a drag and drop interaction in articulate storyline so that's it thanks for watching please like And subscribe bye.
